Quantity Surveyor – Rail - client side
Location: Manchester (hybrid: 3 days per week in the office, remainder working from home)
Contract: Full-time, immediate start until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of extension
Rate: £300–£400 per day (inside IR35)

We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team across small to medium sized projects on a light rail network. 

You’ll work closely with a senior quantity surveyor and provide contract administration support and help to keep the commercial side of the operation running smoothly.

Other key responsibilities

• Review and assess Applications for Payment
• Review and assess Compensation Events
• Provide contract administration support across a range of contracts
• Deliver wider day to day commercial support to the team

To be considered you will have:

• A degree or similar in Quantity Surveying
• Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor, ideally within rail, or at least within the wider infrastructure sector
• A good grasp of contract administration (they use a bespoke contract, but will move to NEC in the future) including payment applications and change
