Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a leading highways specialist and one of only two businesses of real scale in the UK market, with UK turnover of around £250 million. Part of a wider international group with revenue exceeding €1 billion, the business was recently acquired by new private equity owners with ambitious plans for further growth across Europe and North America.

As a service led business, they work across the UK’s strategic and local road networks, delivering directly for the major strategic roads client, as well as local authorities and Tier 1 main contractors.

You’ll join a commercial team of 12, initially reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor. You’ll support a range of frameworks and projects, working primarily under NEC Options A and E, with some Option B.

Your focus will be on:

• Contract administration
• Change management, including compensation events
• Payment applications and valuations

About you

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Experience working on highways schemes, ideally across frameworks and smaller projects
• Subcontractor side experience would be a real advantage
• Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly Options A and E
• Comfortable working remotely and travelling when required

What’s on offer?

A salary of £45,000–£60,000, depending on experience, alongside a benefits package.
