Van Technician

We are seeking an experienced Van Technician to join our established commercial vehicle operation in Carlisle, Cumbria. This Van Technician role offers excellent earning potential, structured shifts and access to industry-leading training. Car Technicians with relevant van experience are also encouraged to apply.

Working hours are 06:00–15:30 Monday to Friday during week one and 13:00–22:30 Monday to Friday during week two. Alternate Saturday mornings are 07:00–12:00 and paid at overtime.

Duties of a Van Technician:

• The successful Van Technician will inspect and repair vehicles to DVSA standards.
• Prepare and present vehicles for MOT testing.
• Carry out fault diagnosis using specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Complete mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard.
• Support excellent customer service by keeping vehicles safe and operational.
• Work collaboratively while maintaining full compliance with health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• To succeed as a Van Technician, you will have a Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience as a Van Technician, Car Technician or within a commercial vehicle dealership.
• Strong mechanical and electrical repair capabilities.
• The ability to diagnose faults accurately and work to a high standard.
• A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to develop your technical knowledge.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Your own set of tools.
• A full UK driving licence.
