MET Technician

We are recruiting for a MET Technician to join our established, family-run bodyshop in Crawley. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled MET Technician to become part of a supportive, team-focused workshop with long-serving employees and a strong reputation for quality.

Benefits:

• Salary of £40,000 to £50,000, with potential earnings of up to £60,000 through bonus schemes.
• Time Saved Bonus for hours completed above the standard 45-hour week.
• Monday to Friday working hours, 8.00am to 5.30pm.

Duties:

• Carry out vehicle repairs and maintenance to a consistently high standard as a MET Technician.
• Complete mechanical, electrical, trim and equipment repairs across a variety of vehicles.
• Support vehicle diagnostics, including electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• Work efficiently within a busy workshop while meeting productivity and quality targets.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth workshop operations.
• Ensure all repairs comply with health and safety requirements and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a MET Technician within a bodyshop or automotive repair environment.
• Relevant vehicle repair and maintenance qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Auto electrical knowledge and experience with vehicle diagnostics.
• Experience with ADAS systems is desirable, although training can be provided.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking and committed to delivering quality repairs.
• Enthusiasm for ongoing technical learning and development.
• The successful MET Technician will demonstrate strong attention to detail and a professional approach.
