Production Operative

Job Description

MET Recruitment are currently recruiting for a production operative to join a well-established mattress manufacturing company based in Oldbury.

The successful candidate can potentially be taken on permanently after a successful probation period.

Previous manufacturing or production experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training may be provided for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the manufacturing and assembly of mattresses.
Operating machinery and equipment safely, following the appropriate training.
Handling materials and components throughout the production process.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
Working efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
Following all health and safety procedures.
Requirements

A reliable and punctual approach to work.
Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to carry out manual handling tasks as required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse or production experience is advantageous but not essential.
Working Hours

Fixed shifts, either:

Day Shift: 6:00am – 3:00pm (£12.71 per hour, paying 40 hours a week)
Afternoon Shift: 3:00pm – 11:00pm (£15.44 per hour, paying 35 hours a week)
Pay Rate

£12.71 – £15.44 per hour
A pay rise will also be in place after completing 12 weeks, the pay rate will depend on your skillset and job role at this time.
