Service Advisor

We are recruiting an experienced Service Advisor to join our busy franchised car dealership in Crawley, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional aftersales team representing well-established automotive brands.

Benefits:

• Basic salary of up to £30,000, with an achievable OTE of up to £40,000.
• Additional bonus potential linked to customer satisfaction and service plan upselling.
• 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with Saturdays on a rota basis.

Duties:

• As a Service Advisor, welcome customers and provide a professional point of contact throughout their vehicle’s service or repair.
• Book vehicles into the workshop and accurately record customer requirements.
• Liaise with technicians to obtain updates and provide clear progress reports.
• Prepare accurate estimates and explain recommended work professionally.
• Arrange customer collections and deliveries, ensuring a smooth overall experience.
• Maintain regular communication from initial booking through to vehicle handover.
• Identify suitable service plans and additional products where appropriate.
• Support the dealership in achieving excellent customer satisfaction results.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor within a motor trade, dealership or automotive aftersales environment.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing automotive role is essential.
• The successful Service Advisor will be confident discussing servicing, repairs and associated costs with customers.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• A professional, positive and customer-focused approach.
• The ability to manage a busy workload while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Experience using dealership management systems would be advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
