Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

We are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with 3-5 years of design experience for an opportunity based in Nottingham.

The role will involve working on a range of geotechnical and civil engineering projects, undertaking design assessments and developing practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake geotechnical design and calculations for foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks.
• Review and interpret ground investigation reports, factual data and geotechnical parameters.
• Prepare geotechnical design reports, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity, settlement and foundation assessments.
• Apply relevant design standards, codes and project specifications.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary design teams, clients and contractors to deliver effective engineering solutions.
• Provide technical support during design development and, where required, construction.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, ideally within a design consultancy.
• Experience in geotechnical design, engineering calculations and technical report writing.
• Good understanding of ground investigation data and soil mechanics.
• Familiarity with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and geotechnical design software.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
