Join our established repairs and maintenance team as a skilled Multi-Trade Operative in Brent.

Location: Brent
Salary: £22 per hour plus van and fuel
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Multi-Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team, carrying out a range of maintenance and refurbishment works across social housing properties.

The successful candidate will be multi-skilled, customer-focused and capable of completing a variety of repairs to a high standard, with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out responsive repairs and planned maintenance in occupied and vacant social housing properties
• Undertake a range of multi-trade works, including:
• Carpentry and joinery
• Plastering and patch repairs
• Tiling
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Basic painting and decorating
• Flooring and making-good works
• General property maintenance
• Diagnose defects and identify appropriate repair solutions
• Complete void property refurbishment and associated works where required
• Work professionally and respectfully in residents' homes
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy working environment
• Complete work orders, job sheets and other relevant documentation accurately
• Report any additional defects or issues identified during works
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements and company standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Multi-Trade Operative, Maintenance Operative or similar role
• Strong practical skills across several building trades
• Experience within social housing, local authority, housing association or property maintenance is desirable
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Professional, reliable and punctual approach
• Relevant trade qualifications are desirable
• Full UK driving licence is required
