The Role

A Multi Skilled Electrician is required for a site-based maintenance role in Ellesmere Port, offering a £39,000 basic salary plus additional standby payments.
This position combines electrical maintenance and fault finding with general building maintenance. Alongside electrical repairs and minor installation work, you'll get involved with tasks such as basic plumbing, painting and decorating, and general fabric maintenance.
It's suited to an 18th Edition-qualified electrician with commercial or industrial maintenance experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and is comfortable taking responsibility for the wider upkeep of a site.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and minor electrical installation works.
• 
  Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs to maintain safe and reliable site operations.
• 
  Undertake general building maintenance, including painting, decorating, basic plumbing and fabric repairs.
• 
  Complete minor repairs to fixtures, fittings and other building components.
• 
  Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site.
• 
  Respond to maintenance requests and help minimise disruption to day-to-day operations.
• 
  Liaise with external contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standard.
• 
  Maintain accurate records of completed work and report outstanding maintenance issues.
• 
  Follow health and safety procedures and relevant electrical safety requirements.
• 
  Participate in the standby rota and attend call-outs as required.

What You'll Need

• 
  18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 
  Proven electrical experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
• 
  Practical electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• 
  Experience carrying out general building maintenance, including basic plumbing, painting, decorating and fabric repairs.
• 
  A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• 
  The ability to prioritise work and manage maintenance requests effectively.
• 
  A reliable, practical approach and the flexibility to work across both electrical and general maintenance duties.

Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing facility or distribution environment would be beneficial. Basic IT skills for logging jobs and updating maintenance records would also be useful.
