Service Manager

I am looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead a team of approximately 30 employees across engineering and support functions throughout the Republic of Ireland.

You will be responsible for driving operational performance, managing budgets, improving workshop efficiency and ensuring excellent customer service while maintaining high health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of approximately 30 employees.
• Oversee workshop and engineering operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Manage departmental budgets, financial targets and performance.
• Ensure work is scheduled effectively to maximise labour utilisation.
• Drive continuous improvement across service operations.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Service Manager, Workshop Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong mechanical and technical understanding, ideally within plant machinery or heavy equipment.
• Experience managing large teams and developing employees.
• Good financial awareness, including budgeting and cost control.
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of CAT machinery would be advantageous.
