Location: Alexandra Hospital, Woodrow Drive, Redditch, B98 7UB
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour + enhanced rates after 8pm
Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts available Monday to Sunday (0900-1700 / 1700 - 2200)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Porter, you'll be at the heart of hospital operations, ensuring patients, staff, and departments receive the support they need.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Safely transferring patients and visitors between wards and departments, including A&E, X-ray, and inpatient wards.
• Delivering essential items across the hospital, including medications, blood products, specimens, medical notes, equipment, furniture, and medical gas cylinders.
• Supporting hospital cleanliness and safety through the collection and disposal of clinical, general, and recycling waste.
• Ensuring waste is correctly segregated and handled in line with hospital procedures.
• Adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
• Using equipment and PPE safely and effectively in accordance with training provided.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking reliable, hardworking individuals who:

• Enjoy a physically active, fast-paced role.
• Have a full UK driving licence.
• Communicate confidently in spoken and written English.
• Hold Manual Handling training (or have relevant experience).
• Have a positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
• Can remain professional and compassionate when interacting with patients and visitors.
