Service Advisor

We are recruiting for a Service Advisor to join our established automotive dealership in Shrewsbury. The role offers a basic salary of £29,750, OTE of £34,000 and working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:00pm, including a one-hour lunch break.

Duties of a Service Advisor:

• The Service Advisor will welcome customers and manage service and repair bookings.
• Prepare accurate job cards and record customer requirements.
• Liaise with technicians to provide customers with regular vehicle progress updates.
• Explain repair work and associated costs clearly and professionally.
• Handle customer enquiries efficiently and promote additional products and services where appropriate.
• Process invoices, payments and service documentation.
• Coordinate vehicle handovers and maintain a positive customer experience.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Support the Aftersales team in maintaining workshop efficiency and achieving service targets.

Requirements:

• Previous Service Advisor or automotive customer service experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks accurately in a busy environment.
• Good IT skills; experience using a dealership management system would be advantageous.
• The ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional approach.
• A proactive, positive and customer-focused attitude.
