3D Recruit is recruiting for an experienced Children's Social Worker to support children, young people and families within a local authority setting. This locum opportunity offers £36–£38 per hour, with an ASAP start available.

The Role

You will use your assessment skills and professional judgement to understand family circumstances, identify risks and develop plans that promote children's safety and wellbeing. Specific responsibilities will depend on the allocated team and caseload.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Undertaking child and family assessments to identify needs, strengths and risks

• Managing a varied caseload and prioritising work according to safeguarding needs

• Working directly with children and young people to understand their wishes and feelings

• Developing plans with families and partner agencies to achieve measurable outcomes

• Monitoring progress and reviewing plans when circumstances change

• Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns through appropriate channels

• Attending multi-agency meetings and contributing clear professional recommendations

• Producing timely assessments, case notes and reports

• Working in accordance with statutory requirements, professional standards and local procedures

What We're Looking For

• Social Work degree or equivalent qualification

• Current Social Work England (SWE) registration

• Minimum 3 years' post-qualifying experience

• Strong knowledge of UK children's social care legislation and practice

• Experience managing complex children's social care cases

• Right to work in the UK
