We are now growing our R and D team in Bedford and are looking to appoint an experienced Firmware Engineer. As a Firmware Engineer, you will participate in the development of embedded firmware within a range of monitoring instruments with support of digital electronics design of new products. You will also gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, applications and firmware requirements whilst providing high quality, robust and accurate software solutions and guidance on product concepts. The role is based in Bedford with one day a week from home.

We can offer an attractive salary dependant on experience and invite applications from experienced Firmware Engineers with the following attributes: 

• At least 5 years relevant experience of Design, Development, Test and Documentation of firmware development for embedded microprocessor targets.
• Strong 'C' and ‘C++’.
• Demonstrated track record and enthusiasm of developing 8, 16 and 32bit embedded product solutions. 
• Experience of digital microprocessor circuitry design. 
• Experience of providing high quality firmware design.
• Ability to produce system /architectural design with a track record of outstanding achievement. 
• Experience with wireless connectivity (Bluetooth (inc. BLE), Wi-Fi, mobile network)
