The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Office Administrator / Estimator on behalf of our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Bridgnorth.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to join a small, friendly team, supporting the day-to-day running of the office and assisting with sales administration, estimating and production coordination.

Working closely with the Office Manager, Sales and Production Teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently, quotations are prepared accurately and deliveries are coordinated effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing customer orders and maintaining accurate records.

  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices.

  • Producing estimates and quotations for standard products.

  • Coordinating despatch activities and arranging courier collections.

  • Liaising with existing customers and suppliers.

  • Communicating with production staff regarding material availability, scheduling, order progress and despatch.

  • Supporting material planning and purchasing activities.

  • Using Sage Accounts for day-to-day administrative and sales processes.

  • Learning and using CIM50 to assist with material planning and production requirements.

  • Providing administrative cover for colleagues when required.

  • Supporting the smooth running of the office and wider business operations.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in an office administration or sales support role.

  • A good working knowledge of Sage Accounts or a similar accounting system.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and computerised data entry systems.

  • Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

  • A customer-focused approach and confident communication skills.

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

  • A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment would be advantageous, as would previous involvement in estimating, order processing, invoicing or despatch.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary starting from £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.

  • Standard working hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm.

  • Flexible working hours available by agreement.

  • Training on company systems and processes.

  • A varied role within an established manufacturing business.

  • The opportunity to develop your skills across administration, sales support and estimating.
