Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, MOT Tester, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Nottingham. Applicants must have previous vehicle servicing and repair experience, with strong mechanical and diagnostic skills. A current MOT Tester Licence is required to carry out MOT testing.

Location: Nottingham
Salary: Up to £36,000 basic per annum, plus bonus and overtime
OTE: Up to £42,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Role

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Complete MOT testing in accordance with DVSA regulations where qualified
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out vehicle health checks and safety inspections
• Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements
• Complete accurate job cards and workshop documentation
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and Health & Safety

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Requirements

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
• Good diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding ability
• Current MOT Tester Licence required for MOT testing duties
• Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
