Procurement Manager

As a Procurement Manager in the north west, you will lead procurement activity for an organisation in the industrial processing industry, helping secure the materials, goods and services needed for day-to-day operations. You will manage sourcing and supplier relationships while keeping purchasing activity organised and aligned with business needs.

Description

• Lead procurement activities to ensure goods and services are available when needed.
• Manage the sourcing process, from identifying requirements through to supplier selection.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships to support reliable purchasing arrangements.
• Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers and maintain clear purchasing records.
• Review supplier performance and address issues that affect delivery or service.
• Work with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and set clear requirements.
• Track procurement activity and provide accurate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify practical ways to improve purchasing processes and supplier arrangements.

Profile

A successful 'Procurement Manager' should have:

• Experience managing procurement and sourcing activities.
• Strong knowledge of supplier selection and relationship management.
• Ability to negotiate terms and manage commercial discussions with suppliers.
• Experience reviewing supplier performance and resolving delivery concerns.
• Ability to organise purchasing requirements and maintain accurate records.
• Confidence working with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs.

Job Offer

• Permanent Procurement Manager position based in Cheshire
• Salary of £55,000 to £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Hybrid working
