This opportunity is ideal for someone who understands the challenges some children face when managing emotions, responding to boundaries and engaging with learning. * Encouraging pupils to engage with classroom learning and school routines
* Supporting transitions, breaktimes and situations where pupils may need additional guidance
* Helping children develop communication, conflict-resolution and social skills
* Using appropriate de-escalation strategies in line with school policies and training
* Recording relevant observations and sharing feedback with teaching and pastoral staff
* Following safeguarding procedures and promoting a safe, inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate:

* Can build rapport with pupils while maintaining professional boundaries
* Is resilient and able to respond constructively to challenging situations
* Understands positive behaviour support and the importance of emotional regulation
* Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Is committed to safeguarding and helping pupils achieve positive outcomes
Experience as a Behaviour Mentor, SEMH Teaching Assistant, Pastoral Support Assistant or within a specialist provision would be particularly beneficial.
