Business Development Manager (Digital)

Business Development Manager (Digital / Cyber Security) - Permanent Location: Stone (Staffordshire) | Salary: £65,000-£75,000 (DOE) + package

A leading engineering and maintenance business is looking to hire a Business Development Manager to drive digital and cyber security opportunities, with a strong focus across gas transmission / regional networks and wider non-energy sectors.

What you'll be doing

• Own end-to-end business development and sales for digital solutions (pipeline → quotation → close)
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships to grow adoption of digital / tech-based solutions
• Identify new market opportunities and feed insight into product / R&D direction
• Lead bid / proposal activity (including opportunity tracking and governance via CRM)
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across customers, partners, and internal delivery teams
• Ensure work aligns to internal process, quality and compliance expectations

What we're looking for

• HNC (or equivalent) in IT / Computer Science / Engineering / Business (or related)
• Track record in BD / sales leadership within a technology-led / digital environment
• Strong commercial acumen (margin, cashflow, customer satisfaction)
• Bid / proposal experience plus credible stakeholder management
• Confident with CRM and MS Office; willing to travel (incl. conferences / client meetings)
