Plater / Heavy Steel Fabricator

Main Duties Fabricating and assembling medium-to-heavy structural steelwork and bespoke engineering components. Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings independently. Measuring, marking out, cutting, drilling and preparing steel plates and sections. Building and fitting steel components and assemblies accurately to specification. MIG welding fabricated components to a high standard. Using workshop fabrication machinery, hand tools and lifting equipment safely. Checking dimensions, fit-up and finished work for quality.
