The Opportunity

We are currently looking for an experienced Carpenter for an exciting two-day opportunity supporting one of our main contractor clients on a construction work experience programme in Chelsea, London.

The programme will involve working with approximately 20 students, helping them to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.

You will use your carpentry skills to guide and support the students as they work together to build a basic timber structure. This is a great opportunity for a carpenter who enjoys sharing their knowledge, working with young people and helping to inspire the next generation of construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and guide approximately 20 students with a basic timber construction project.
• Demonstrate practical carpentry skills and safe working practices.
• Support students as they develop their confidence and hands-on construction skills.
• Help ensure activities are carried out safely and effectively.
• Encourage student participation and engagement throughout the programme.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter.
• Good practical carpentry and timber construction skills.
• A confident and approachable manner, with the ability to communicate clearly.
• An interest in supporting students and sharing knowledge of the construction industry.
• A strong awareness of health and safety.
